About me -

my name is America I am a 19-year-old freshman here at MSU and I would say I am a creative person and love to bake and paint. I find it pretty calming and occasionally I play video games. I do prefer my name to be said in Spanish but I don't mind it said in English. My pronouns are she/her. I'm from Denver, Colorado and my major is cybersecurity. About a year ago I finally got a job to make money. I currently work in the fast food chain. I'm very grateful for the money but hate dealing with rude people. An unpopular opinion I have is there's more to life than staying in and getting high. I believe that here in Colorado the use of weed is very normal to a lot of people and too many young people get entranced into using it and eventually, it consumes them. I can say from experience that once I finally realized there was more to life than getting high I started realizing the beauty in things I never paid attention to even the beauty in me. One goal I have set for myself is to eventually work for Google. Once I reach that goal I hope to keep learning and improving. Another goal I have for myself is to create a painting that is worth more than $100. Those two goals are just some higher type of goals I have for myself but for now, my goal is to succeed in college and learn to maintain my shopping addiction. In college, I want to be a part of events that interest me and I want to be able to organize my time into doing assignments. Being organized is something I have struggled with before because eventually if I'm not organized it becomes chaotic in my head. I feel like a way my instructor can help me is by being understanding but of course I know there are expectations to be held upon, especially in college. Finally, for this course, I hope to learn how to incorporate new ideas into my writing and learn how to improve the mistakes I make along the way. Thank you.
